DDG - Ship Separator

The DDG ship separator is designed for nesting U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke class destroyers. Square tubing is used in its construction in lieu of angle iron. The separator incorporates four 6 ft by 12 ft foam filled fenders for energy absorption and flotation. Both handrails are removable. All members are filled with closed cell polyurethane foam and all attachment hardware is 316 stainless steel. The DDG separator is designed with double wall fender backing plates. Maritime offers this system with a composite deck, towing and mooring cleats, and a variety of coating systems.
